JIMS SCHOOL OF LAW, GREATER NOIDA (affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) is all set to host the 1st JAGANNATH MEMORIAL NATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION from Friday, 15th February 2019 to Sunday, 17th February 2019. Legal Bites is the proud Education Partner of the Event.
Day 1: Registrations, Inauguration and Researcher’s Test
The Registration process has started. Teams are getting themselves registered for this event. The inaugural ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm.
- Our head of department Dr. Pallavi Gupta addresses the students with full of zeal and zest and congratulated them.
- Director R .K Raghuvanshi begins his address. he says’ in education system journey of student does not end by their mark sheet’. he also mentioned that mooting plays a very important role in this field.
- Chairman Dr. Amit Gupta addresses students and congratulate them and give them motivation. Further, he states there is no way to determine how a law had been made in practical life.
- Guest of honor, Justice D D Jha begins his address. He discusses the hard work and the competition which we fought against ourselves. further also mentions the constitution of India which protects our fundamental rights. he also talks about legal aid and discusses its provision. he conveys that society needs persons who pick up them when they are in need.
Our faculty Deepti Sinha presents the vote of thanks. she welcomes all the participants and wishes them best. she respectfully thanks our guest of honour, Director sir, chairman sir and HOD mam. she thanks all the faculty members and volunteers who worked really really hard.
The inaugural ceremony comes to end and reciting of National Anthem. Now proceeding towards draw of lots and exchange of memorials.

Day 2: Preliminary Rounds and Quarter Finals
Judges have arrived and briefing is given to them about the two preliminary rounds according to which the results will be declared after that there will be quarter-finals then semi-finals and then finals. Preliminary round 1 will begin at 10 AM
Judges and participants have arrived in their respective courtrooms. Preliminary round 1 has started, participants are giving their best.
Preliminary round 1 is almost done. Preliminary round 2 will start soon.
Preliminary round 2 has started and students are ready with this round.
Preliminary round 2 has completed. Students are waiting for their results.
Prelims results have been declared and eight teams have qualified for quarterfinals. Quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at 3 PM
Quarterfinals are underway. qualified students are giving their best in quarters to qualify in semifinals.
Done with the Quarter Finals. Results are awaited!
The most awaited result is out. Four teams have qualified in Semi-Finals.

Day:3 Semi-Finals, Finals and Valedictory Ceremony
Teams have started arriving and have started with their preparations for today. Semi-Finals are scheduled to begin at 10 AM.
Judges have arrived and the orientation process is underway.
We are obliged to have Hon’ble Justice Dhingra and Justice V.B Gupta in Court Room 1 and Hon’ble Justice Zali Ullah Khan and Justice Arun Gupta in Court Room 2. Students are in their respective Court Rooms.
Semi-Finals have started and Students are trying their best.
We are done with the Semi-Finals. Result to be out soon.
Results are out. Two teams have qualified for the Final round.
The teams breaking into finals are Galgotia University and Ideal Institute of Technology(affiliated to GGSIPU). Congratulations to both the teams. Finals are scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM

Dr. Pallavi Gupta, HOD JIMS SCHOOL OF LAW, delivers her opening address. she appreciated all the faculty, MCS members and all the volunteers for their efforts in making this event a great success. She also expressed the increased participation of girls in this competition, comment as women empowerment.
Dr. R K Raghuvanshi Director JIMS SCHOOL OF LAW, congratulate everyone. he further says that participation is must in the competition. He also appreciates students about the hard work they did. And was thankful to all the students for their efforts.
Dr. R.J.R Kasibatla congratulates everyone for choosing a career in Law. He says mooting is not an easy exercise it would be difficult but he states every man is born winner. He advised to read and learn as learning cannot be stopped. He also mentions that continuous legal studying is very important in this field. He wishes all the students a great success ahead.
Dr. Kawal DP Kamwal congratulates students for doing their best in this event. She says it is said that once you are in the legal profession, there is no time for anything else. It is very important to practice law until and unless you take it is as a practitioner you won’t be able to get it. She advised becoming a successful person in life one should not go towards money the money will itself come.
Dr. G N Raju thanks everyone for getting the privilege to attend this event. He talks about his time when there was no moot court and how they get to learn about the law is only by theory but nowadays there are moot courts and many activities by which it becomes easier to get to know the law in the fastest way. He also discussed the Constitution of India and landmark judgements. He further discussed the amendments which are very important in enhancing law.
