Clear the Bar (www.clearthebar.in) provides an online course to help law graduates prepare for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE).
About the competition
The AIBE’s objective, according to the Bar Council of India, “is to check an Advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE will assess skills at a basic level, and is intended to set a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law; it addresses a candidate’s analytical abilities and understanding basic knowledge of the law.”
Participants must state in no more than 1,000 words if and why they think the AIBE meets/does not meet the above goals.
The competition is open to last year law students in India, and law graduates who appearing for the upcoming AIBE. There is NO registration fee.
Entries must be emailed by August 20, 2017, to email@example.com. Please write “Clear the Bar’s National Essay Competition – 2017” in the subject of your email. We will accept word files only. Please state in the body of your email the following details: Name, College Name, Year of Graduation (if graduated), and Enrollment No (if enrolled in a State Bar Council).
Joint entries are not allowed. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
Essays will be marked by Founding Members of Clear the Bar (their decision will be last).
The winner will receive free access to Clear the Bar’s Online Course on AIBE (screenshot of AIBE registration receipt must be produced) + the applicable AIBE application fee + 1 Clear the Bar T-Shirt.
- The 1st Runner-up will receive free access to Clear the Bar’s AIBE Mock Test Series (screenshot of AIBE registration receipt must be produced) + 1 Clear the Bar T-Shirt.
- The 2nd Runner-up will receive 1 Clear the Bar T-Shirt.
The results will be announced in August-end on our Facebook page.
