Nyaaya is India’s first free online searchable repository of every central and state law. Information on these laws has been simply explained and has been organized to help anyone get the answers they are looking for with minimal effort. Guides, visualisations and illustrations help to demystify the law.

At Nyaaya, we are on a mission to provide an accessible, user friendly and single window platform which documents and explains all Indian laws, and we are looking for interns who want to contribute.

Internship details:

Interns would be contributing mainly to creating content for the website which would require competent research and drafting skills. Depending on your interests, time available, and the nature of work you get, you can also be involved in tech, design, and outreach for the website. You do not have to be a law student to apply as long as you feel passionately about increasing access to legal information. The internship will be based in Delhi, at our Jangpura office. You will be required to intern for a minimum of 4 weeks.

What’s in it for you?

Nice stipend, nicer office, and the nicest people to work with. Plus, we will mention your contribution on the website, in addition to giving you a certificate! You will get a chance to develop your own skills and knowledge of the law and you will get to interact with legal academics, scholars, and experts. Last, but not least, you get to make a difference in the relationship between the law and the people affected by it.

To apply, please email the following to contact@nyaaya.in with the subject line “Application for Internship at Nyaaya”

  2. A writing sample of not more than 1000 words on any subject of your choice.

  3. The time-period during which you will be available for an internship.

The deadline for submission of applications is May 1, 2017.
