Team Strength:
The office was decent are wise and team strength was around 20.
Application Procedure:
The commission requires a bona fide certificate from the college allowing the student to intern under CGHRC, the certificate must specify the duration of internship.
Accommodation:
I lived at my relatives house but there is PG facilities available near by.
First Impressions:
I had to show the bona fide certificate issued by my college at the reception and then I was told about the work and asked to pick a file and start the work.
Main Task:
The main task is to go through the decided case which are documented in hindi and make a report on the same, the report has to be submitted in English further you will find variety of cases from noise pollution to dowry death, Naxal attacks and what not just keep going through the files.
While reading the cases you’ll get to know about various problems faced by different groups in society and also at the end of many cases you may find that the entire case was fake and the complaint was lodged to harass the other party. At the end of the internship you have to submit a report consisting a summary of at least 15 cases.
Work Environment:
The people around are helpful and will entertain all your doubt, I personally asked number of questions to H.C. Mishra Sir(Law Officer) and he resolved all of them.
Best thing:
There is variety of cases and number of files and all of these are in hindi hence I enjoyed reading cases which in return improved my understanding and application of Law and also my legal hindi has improved.
Bad thing:
The place where interns work has only one cooler and that to was not working properly.
What did you do to chill:
We use to go have snacks near by in Indian Coffee house or go to marine drive and have some dabeli or go watch a movie,Raipur is a good place for foodies like hence you find plenty of options.
Stipends:
Work was the only and the best stipends.
Overall Experience:
It was a good experience working in CGHRC as there where number of files to go through and learn from over all it was a great learning experience.
Biggest lesson:
If you want to learn be eager to work and don’t expect anyone to give you work take the initiative.
