They are the founding partners at CrestLaw partners and very gentle persons with infinite legal knowledge.

Accommodation: how, where?

I stayed at Marathahalli and used to commute by bus (333, 333F, 335E). It was very convenient for me to travel and one should not have any problem as BMTC is providing Volvo Air Conditioned Coaches and non-AC buses as well at reasonable fares.

First Impression, First day, formalities etc.

My first impression was quite good. I dressed in complete formal attire like any other intern. I had a brief introduction with Ravitej Rao M. Sir, partner heading the Corporate Team and he talked to me about my interests in law and my ambitions.

The partners also introduced themselves and it was very inspiring hearing their qualification and experience, there were no formalities as such from the very first day I started working.

Main Tasks

Working in Crestlaw Partners involved assistance in carrying out various research-oriented tasks such as provisions of various regional and central laws.

I was assigned the task of drafting and vetted and reviewed various agreements and deeds such as Joint Venture Agreement, Hire Purchase Agreement etc. Apart from the office work, we had an opportunity to visit High Courts, other lower courts and various tribunals in Bangalore along with partners and associates.

It was truly a very informative and experience gaining internship which was helpful to me in academics as well in other internships.

All the interns had an easy access to the partners who in spite of their hectic schedule used to guide and make us learn things in a better way; they were very supportive and motivating.

At the end of the internship, every intern is supposed to do a presentation on any particular topic of their choice and the same is mandatory which is done with the intention to examine the interns’ public speaking skills, confidence and their knowledge.

Work environment, people

The Associates and the Partners were very helpful, cooperative and friendly to the interns. They are committed during the work hours but were very friendly once they were off.

We were served tea during the office hours. We were also given decent treats by partners during occasions like birthdays of the members of the firm etc.

Best Things?

The firm possesses a lot of positivity which helps you to work with great enthusiasm. Despite being busy, the associated correct your mistakes and help you learn.

Bad Things?

Nothing. I really liked the work there.

What did you do to chill?

There is no place as such to hang out. But there’s a place at a walking distance where we used to go for snacks and supper. There is a mall nearby as well and various other places to eat.

Stipend/month

They don’t have the policy of paying stipends to the interns but surely I was given a token of appreciation on my last day along with the certificate.

Anything else you’d like to tell

Sometimes the associates themselves ask you to come along with them for assistance. But mostly, you have to go and ask for work because the associates are too busy to call you for assistance.

Biggest Lessons

Law school is not that easy. At some point, you will feel anxious, devalued and stressed but you have to fight back.
