The infrastructure of Legajoist Advocates:

The Infrastructure was decent. The office is situated on the ground floor. They also have a dining area on third floor of the same building along with a Table Tennis Room.

Main tasks:

Throughout the internship it was basically research works, drafting and filing a petition at various courts.

I was given assignments to research upon various areas of law including Company Law, Mineral Law, Arbitration Act, Banking & Insolvency Laws, Competition Laws, Property Law, Succession Law, etc.

Apart from research work, interns were also to tasked with making summaries of various letters of correspondences pertaining to the ongoing matters and also preparing drafts for the same matter was a common phenomenon.

Good thing:

There are a number of good things because there is no bad thing about the firm and the people. People are so humble and kind that they will help you all the time where ever you are not able to understand anything.

At times, the associates come and talk with interns over coffee and guide them with the future internships. The best part is, even in the short span, they make you feel like a part of their office. I worked as a member of the office and not as an outsider.

Healthy interactions with the associates make you feel comfortable while working in the firm.

Other than work there are some more good things I would like to tell you are as follows:

  1. Coffee.
  2. Lunch & Snacks. (where you can chill out with your co-interns when you are free or either in your lunchtime).
  3. The Library. (there’s a huge library where one can sit and do the research work by reading books).

Biggest Lessons at Legajoist Advocates:

The internship has taught me a lot. The firm taught me to work in an organized manner and gave me exposure in different ways. For example, I did not know about the NCLT e-filing of the petition, my team taught me the same. The kind of the work, the interns are engaged in makes you feel confident.

You should always be upfront for the tasks. Time management is an asset. Always remember to do every minute work with utmost dedication. They monitor you for every work, thus be careful and polite. Try to learn as much as you can. do not feel shy in asking anything.

Any Other Thing:

Work hard with passion, the firm values diligent people.

Stipend:

The firm provides stipend based on your work. Like I received Rs. 4000.

Accommodation:

They even have their own PG’s in the same building where we have our office. So if you want you can talk to the concerned authorities about it and rent a room in the same building avoiding everyday travelling hassles.
