Internship Experience @Uttar Pradesh Human Right Commission, Lucknow

Team Strength Office occupancy was for around 50 people. We were 30 members in the group.

Application ProcedureSelected after clearing a Personal Interview with the Retired Judge.

Accommodation Self, Lucknow, It was good experience.

First impression. First day, formalities etc. First impression was overwhelming. We received lot of support and guidance from the concerned authorities.
Main tasks

  • We were introduced to the working and establishment of Human Rights commission. THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS ACT,1993
  • Lecture on Criminal Procedure Code. (Discussed various important sections and filing of F.I.R.). CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT, 1973
  • Women Empowerment and working of Mahila Samman Prakoshth. Various Sections of CrPC, CPC & POCSO Act.
  • Case laws teaching how the suit and proceedings take place in criminal cases.

Work environment, people An exuberant work environment was there. Abundant knowledge was shared with the candidates.

Best things Best thing was receiving enormous amount of knowledge from experienced personnel.

Bad things Only 30 days for internship.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues We discuss about the learning every evening, we read books in leisure times and we explored the city.

StipendNo Stipend

Anything else you’d like to tellI think, I was fortunate enough to get the internship under the guidance of elite professionals. Indeed I too throughout remain energetic and worked hard to showcase my skills whenever needed.

Biggest lessons – Do not be afraid to make mistakes and ask questions, and always work hard no matter what you’re doing.
