By | September 2, 2018

Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) is a division of the Socio-Legal Information Centre (SLIC). SLIC is a non-profit legal aid and educational organization, registered under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860, Indian Public Trust Act, 1950 and the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act, 1976.

The Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) is a collective of lawyers and social activists in 26 states in India, dedicated to the use of the legal system to advance human rights, struggle against violations, and ensure access to justice for all. HRLN views the legal system as a limited but crucial instrument for realizing human rights. We believe that large-scale struggles against human rights violations have to be waged by social and political movements and that the legal system can play a significant supportive role in these struggles. We participate in the struggle for rights of the marginalized through various activities including public interest litigation, advocacy, legal awareness programmes, investigations into violations and publishing ‘know your rights’ materials.

The Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), the largest network of lawyers and paralegals in India, is seeking to recruit compassionate lawyers across the country to litigate in the areas of criminal law, family law, intellectual property rights, media law, labour law,  environmental law, women and the law and consumer law etc.
