Human security – broadly defined by the United Nations as “the right of people to live in freedom and dignity, free from poverty and despair”. The main objective behind organizing this seminar is to provide a new way of thinking about the range of 21st-century challenges in regard to human security and how to respond to them. The Seminar intends to focus on the challenges, strategies and reforms in providing the people-centred approach as it is vital for ensuring sustainable development for all.

The Army Institute of Law (AIL) was established in July 1999 by the Indian Army under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). The Institute is affiliated to the Punjabi University, Patiala and approved by the Bar Council of India.
The participants who may be invited can be academicians, practitioners, researchers, scholars and students.

The Institute also looks forward to publishing the papers selected by the Committee in the form of an edited book with ISBN Number. Email shall be sent to selected papers for complete uniform formatting and any update if any.

Academicians/ Practitioners – Rs. 1,500/-
Only one co-author shall be allowed
In the case of co-authored papers, each author will have to pay the registration fee amount individually/independently.
Registration fees must be sent via demand draft in the name of Army Institute of Law payable at SAS Nagar Mohali/Chandigarh.
