National Trial Advocacy & Judgment Writing Competition has received an overwhelming response to all its previous editions- Its success can be accredited to the fact that it provides a unique platform for law students to hone their advocacy and research skills in the form of a criminal trial.

Participation in a criminal trial and judgment writing competition can be an eye-opening and exciting experience for a budding lawyer. It brings one face to face with the nuances of criminal law while promoting quick thinking and giving a novice a chance to glimpse into the exhilarating realm of trials which consists of examination of witnesses and evidence amongst other things.

SVKM’S Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai, cordially invites your esteemed institution to participate in the 9th edition of the National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition,2018 (NTA) which is scheduled to be held from the 11th to 14th of October, 2018.

After a stellar 8th edition, preparations are already underway for the next edition of NTA. The Winners and Runners-up of NTA ‘18 will receive cash prizes and opportunities from our collaborators. Awards will also be handed out for the Best Team, the Second-Best Team, the Best Advocate, the Second-Best Advocate, and two awards for the best Judgements.


Universities may provisionally register for the competition by sending us an e-mail at nyayavalokan@gmail.com.  Participating teams will be provided with lodging and food for the days of the competition. We will be glad to assist the teams with any other formalities. A detailed invite including the rules of the competition will be sent shortly.
