The Supreme Court of India has called for applications for the posts of Court Assistant and Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistants.

There are 15 temporary ex-cadre vacancies available for the post of Court Assistant and the last date for application is 20 February 2018.

The online registration for the post of Law Clerk cum Research Assistant will start 1 February 2018 onwards. The recruitment for this post will be done on contract according to the official notification which is available on supremecourtofindia.nic.in.

Eligibility for Court Assistant

Candidates below 30 years of age having

  • Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science/ Information Technology and 3 years experience in the field of computerization OR
  • MCA/ M.Sc in Computer Science and 3 years experience in the field of computerization OR
  • Sc. in Computer Science/BCA with First Class and 4 years experience in the field of computerization.

The process of candidate selection for the Court Assistant post will include a written test, an objective type aptitude technical test, a practical aptitude test and an interview.

Eligibility for Law Clerk cum Research Assistant

For this role, Law graduates falling within the age group of 18-27 years with proficient knowledge of computer such as retrieval of desired information from various search engines/processes such as Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, Westlaw etc. are eligible to apply.

Candidate selection for this post will be made based on a Written Test and an Interview. The merit list will be drawn up based on the marks obtained in the test after which candidates will be shortlisted for the interview.
