About the Seminar

Kerala Law Academy Law College, in association with Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR) and IQAC, KLA, is organizing a One Day International Seminar on 'Biodiversity Conservation: Global Strategies and Legal Scenarios.' The event will be held virtually from the Kerala Law Academy Campus in Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Call for Papers

The Organizing Committee invites Research Articles from Law Students, Academicians, Lawyers, Social Workers, Policy Makers, and Professionals from various fields to contribute to the seminar. The seminar aims to focus on Biodiversity Conservation, Global Strategies, Legal Scenarios, environmental policies, threats to biodiversity, and the importance of biodiversity conservation in protected natural areas.

Mode

The Seminar will be conducted through the online platform Zoom. Participants should have good internet access to join the event.

Sub-Themes

The seminar covers various sub-themes related to biodiversity conservation and legal scenarios. Some of the sub-themes include the history and development of biodiversity conservation, international instruments for preserving biodiversity, ecosystem services and biodiversity, biodiversity as a human right, and more.

Publication Opportunity

Research Articles received will be published in Proceedings with ISBN.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

  • Papers should be in Times New Roman, Font Size: Heading-14, Text-12 in A4 format, single line spacing, justified, and not exceeding 2500 words.
  • Authors are encouraged to use The Bluebook (20th ed.) citation format for footnoting.
  • An abstract not exceeding 250 words should be submitted.
  • Abstract submission deadline: August 20th, 2023.

  • Communication of Abstract Acceptance: August 21st, 2023
  • Submission of Full Paper: September 20th, 2023
  • Intimation of Full Paper Acceptance: September 21st, 2023
  • Date of payment of Registration fee: September 25th, 2023
  • International Seminar: September 30th, 2023

Registration fee

  • INR 1000 per Author (Additional fee of INR 500 for one Co-Author).
  • Seminar Participation [Only]: INR 200.
