Registrations for 3rd National Training Program on Fundamentals of Forensic Science are being invited by Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice (CCCJ) of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad by 20th April, 2023. The National Training Program on Fundamentals of Forensic Science is the flagship event conducted by Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice (CCCJ) of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad. The third edition of the event will be conducted on 28th and 29th April, 2023.

About CCCJ

The concept of ‘Symbiosis’ is nurtured by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar (Chancellor Symbiosis International Deemed University) on the principles of Vedic thought ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which means ‘World as One Family’. Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Hyderabad was established in 2014 inheriting splendid novelty, dynamism and excellence in the education of Symbiosis International Deemed University, Pune.

Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice (CCCJ), is one of the many centres of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad that aims at specializing, tutoring and disseminating information about the different facets of criminology, forensic science, penology and victimology to its students. CCCJ was established in March 2018 with an ambitious and enthusiastic furore to gain more knowledge about the fascinating world of criminology and its sister branches. The Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice is engaged in activities to develop and strengthen the existing Criminal Justice system of the state and benefit the society for smooth functioning. The Centre functions with the objective of working as a resource centre in the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice

About 3rd National Training Program on Fundamentals of Forensic Science

This is an event wherein experts from the field are invited to deliver specialized classes for the participants. The course will be for a duration of 10 hours, over the course of 2 days, which will cover two aspects i.e Fingerprint Examination and Digital Forensics and conclude with an evaluation test on the second day. Teaching hours also incorporate practical exercises to enhance the learning experience. The primary goal of this training program is to provide an awareness of forensic sciences, as well as practical and theoretical knowledge of fingerprint examination and digital forensics.

This course will benefit the students, academicians and professionals in understanding key concepts of Forensic Science and would especially benefit the students who in future would be working in the field of Criminal law. This program would also help them sensitize the need and importance of Forensic Science. The Course Objectives are as follows:

  • To provide a practical and theoretical understanding of Forensic Science.
  • To provide a practical and theoretical understanding of Fingerprint Examination.
  • To provide an understanding of Cyber Forensic Crimes.
  • To provide an understanding of Digital Forensics.
  • To understand the process of retrieving electronic data.

The training program is open to all interested participants, students, lawyers and law enthusiasts.

The event will be conducted offline at the Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad campus.
