Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC), National Law Institute University, Bhopal is organizing the first-ever National Workshop on Drafting and Pleading on 28th October & 29th October 2023.

About CCJC

The Civil and Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC) at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal is a pioneering initiative that aims to generate scholarship and work as a think tank for the robustness and soundness of civil and criminal laws. Through its efforts, the CCJC aims to promote research, analysis, and dialogue on critical issues related to civil and criminal justice, the CCJC serves as a catalyst for change and progress.

About the Workshop

The event is a two day workshop cum competition which would be divided into 6 sessions of drafting and pleading which would emphasise the fundamentals of drafting a legal document with precision and clarity. The same would be followed by a competition where the participants’ drafts shall be assessed and the top three graded drafts will be awarded.

About the Speaker

The workshop would be conducted under the guidance of eminent legal luminary Dr. Aman Hingorani, Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India. Dr. Aman Hingorani practices as a lawyer and mediator in the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. He has been empanelled with the Supreme Court Legal Aid Services. He is trained in arbitration and has been appointed as an arbitrator by the Delhi High Court and acts as an arbitrator for P.H.D Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The fees for the workshop (inclusive of accommodation) is INR 2000/-

The accommodation for the participants will be provided by the organizing university.
