2nd ITM University National Moot Court Competition 2026

School of Law, ITM University, Raipur is organising the 2nd ITM University National Moot Court Competition, 2026. The competition aims to provide law students with an opportunity to engage in legal research, memorial drafting, and oral advocacy through simulated court proceedings.

Dates of the Competition

27th, 28th and 29th March, 2026

Mode and Venue

• The competition shall be conducted exclusively in offline (physical) mode.
• All rounds including Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Final Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds, and the Final Round shall be conducted at ITM University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Eligibility

• Students must be currently enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. programme, or a 5-year integrated law programme at a recognised institution. Only undergraduate law students are eligible to participate
• A maximum of two (2) teams per institution shall be permitted, subject to confirmation by the Organising Committee

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of two (2) or three (3) members.

Where a team has three members:

• Two shall be Speakers
• One shall be a Researcher
• Where a team has two members:
• Both shall act as Speakers
• One of them shall additionally act as Researcher
• All members of a team must belong to the same institution

Important Dates

• 26 February 2026: Last Date to Seek Clarifications
• 28 February 2026: Release of Clarifications
• 9 March 2026: Last Date of Registration
• 16 March 2026: Last Date for Submission of Memorials

Memorial Submission Guidelines

• Each team shall submit two memorials, one for each side
• Memorials shall be submitted in soft copy
• Citation Style: Bluebook (Latest Edition)
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font Size: 12 (body), 10 (footnotes)
• Line Spacing: 1.5 (body), single (footnotes)
• Page Limit: Maximum 50 pages, including annexures

Awards and Prizes

• Winner: INR 1,00,000 + Trophy
• Runners-up: INR 50,000 + Trophy
• Best Speaker: INR 10,000 + Trophy
• Best Researcher: INR 10,000 + Trophy
• Best Memorial: INR 10,000 + Trophy

Registration Fee

• With Accommodation: INR 12,000 per team
• Without Accommodation: INR 8,000 per team

Accommodation

• Accommodation and local transport will be provided to participating teams for the duration of the competition, subject to availability
• Travel expenses shall be borne by the participating teams
