Alliance Center for Global Affairs and International Relations (ACGAIR), Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru is organising a National-Level Seminar on “Emergence of a New World Order: International Law and Politics at the Crossroads?” on 10–11 April 2026, with the last date for abstract submission being 15 January 2026.
About the Seminar
The global international order has undergone significant transformations since the end of the Cold War. The gradual shift from a unipolar to a multipolar world, rising geopolitical conflicts, weakening international institutions, and the growing role of emerging economies such as India have reshaped international law and global politics.
This National-Level Seminar aims to provide a critical platform for scholars, students, and policymakers to deliberate on contemporary global shifts, examine the declining influence of international institutions, and explore the political, economic, and legal dimensions of the emerging world order.
Objectives of the Seminar
- To critically assess the transformation of the global order from unipolarity to multipolarity
- To examine the epistemology of the emerging world order and its intersection with international law and global politics
- To analyze the role of emerging economies, particularly India, in shaping the international political economy
- To examine the failures and possible roadmap of international institutions amidst new global crises
- To explore South Asia’s regional instability and its implications for India’s foreign policy

Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts aligned with the seminar sub-themes.
Submission Guidelines
- Format: .doc/.docx only (PDF not accepted)
- Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5
- Plagiarism: Below 10% (AI content must be 0%)
- Each abstract must include at least five keywords

- Faculty Members / Industry Experts: ₹2,000
- PhD Scholars: ₹1,500
- Postgraduate Students: ₹1,000

Participation & Publication
- Maximum of 50 papers will be selected for presentation
- Parallel sessions may be conducted
- Certificates of Presentation/Participation will be issued (no certificates in absentia)
- Selected papers may be published as an Edited Book with ISBN
