About Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU)
Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), named after one of the greatest legal luminaries of the country, Hon’ble Shri Justice Mohammad Hidayatullah, was established in 2003 by the Government of Chhattisgarh Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh, Act, (No. 10 of 2003). Situated in the lush green surroundings of the well-planned city of Naya Raipur, The University, named after the illustrious jurist-statesman of India, Late Hon'ble Justice Mr. M. Hidayatullah, has state-of-the-art facilities of academic and living spaces for students, faculty, and staff.
Following its motto of ‘Dharma Sansthapanartham’which means ‘for the sake of establishing the primacy of the laws of eternal values’, HNLU strives towards imparting advanced legal education by engaging in teaching and research and seeks to develop among students a sense of responsibility to serve the society in the field of law by taking to advocacy and reforms in law and justice administration system.
HNLU is the sixth in the series of National Law Schools across India. HNLU has been included in the list of the Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has been declared fit to receive Central assistance in terms of the rules framed under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India under section 7 of the Advocates Act 1961.
About HNLU SICI International Conference on International Trade in Marine Life and Fisheries
Through this international conference we aim to raise awareness and interest in international trade law, marine life, fisheries, blue economy, climate change and such seminal happenings. The conference will feature panel discussions, expert talks, and paper presentations. We intend on inviting environmental lawyers, academicians, economic and industry experts, law/oceanology/business etc. students and research scholars to participate and present papers in the international conference.
