About International Conference on Harmful Practices Related to Accusations of Witchcraft and Ritual Attacks

The international conference focuses on the challenges faced by marginalized groups who can be most vulnerable to harmful practices. It offers a space for researchers and practitioners to engage in inclusive interdisciplinary dialogues about the many facets of harmful practices resulting from the belief in witchcraft and ritual attacks that often target these groups and other vulnerable individuals.

The conference invites presentations on sub-themes including but not limited to:

  • Accusations of Witchcraft and Human Rights
  • Spiritual Abuse
  • Harmful Practices and Gender Based Violence
  • Disability and Harmful Practices
  • Elder Abuse
  • Harmful Practices and Rights of the Child
  • Effective Responses to Harmful Practices
  • Enforcing Legal Prohibition on Harmful Practices
  • Social Justice and Equality

Eligibility

Abstracts are invited from Academics, Students, Researchers, Practitioners. The abstract shall not exceed 250 words and must be accompanied by a short bio of 50 words. The abstract is to be sent to witchcraftconference2023@gmail.com

  • Academics and Practitioners: Rs.1500/- (15 GBP approx.) for Single authorship and Rs.2000/- (i.e., 20 GBP approx.) for co-authorship
  • For Students/Research Scholars: Rs.1000/- (10 GBP approx.) for single authorship and Rs.1500/- (i.e., 15 GBP approx.) for co-authorship
