About One Day National Conference on Susceptibility of Indian Women

Despite efforts by the government, democratic institutions, and other key stakeholders, structural impediments to gender equality exist, and gender-based discrimination persists. Efforts to improve gender equality are sometimes thwarted by patriarchal attitudes and discriminatory practices. Stereotypes are deeply embedded in society. Gender equality progress is hampered even more by a lack of gender data, political will, and a complete integration of gender considerations in reforms, planning, and budgeting. The University School of Law and Legal Studies aims to organize the present conference to serve as a platform for academicians, scholars, students, civil society organizations etc. to discuss, deliberate and brainstorm feminist jurisprudence and the road ahead.
