GNLU Centre for Women and Child Rights is organizing the Online Certificate Course on Child Rights in India: Protection Welfare and Development from 15th June-30th June 2023.

About the Centre

The GNLU Centre for Women and Child Rights (GCWCR) was established in September 2020 to develop, promote and support advanced, interdisciplinary studies and research pertaining to women and child welfare, which lie at the intersection of law and policy. The Centre's ultimate goal is to ensure social justice, human rights, and enhanced quality of life for all the children and women in India, with a particular emphasis on equitable quality education, care, protection, and justice for marginalised and neglected women and children.

The Centre has collaborated with leading organisations like the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), National Commission for Women (NCW), and Indus Action, among others; to carry our research studies, field investigations, workshops, etc. Under the Centre’s guidance and supervision, our students are actively engaged in research on Section 12(1)(c), Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009; NITI Aayog’s Project SATH-E, and Surrogacy Laws in South Asia.
