About the Organiser
Symbiosis Law School Pune, established in June 1977, is a premier law school located in Viman Nagar, Pune. Prior to 2002, it was affiliated with the University of Pune, after which, with an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research, it became a constituent of Symbiosis International University. According to the NIRF 2022 Rankings, Symbiosis Law School Pune is the 3rd best law school in India.
About Symbiosis Law School Pune Model United Nations
One of the events that Symbiosis Law School Pune is well-known for is the annual Model United Nations it hosts- Symbiosis Law School Pune Model United Nations (SLSPMUN). This year, Symbiosis Law School Pune is elated to announce that it will be hosting its 12th Edition of SLSPMUN. SLSP MUN 2023 is a simulation of the United Nations wherein its participants are compelled to step into the shoes of the people who make critical decisions and shape the past, present, and future. It allows its delegates to gain meaningful insight into international perspectives; as a global citizens as well as a decision maker. With increasing conflict and geopolitical tensions, the ability to comprehend and identify the bone of contention and then to offer a balanced solution is a skill that is vital for our global leaders. SLSP MUN, in its thrilling debate and procedure, presents to its delegates the opportunity to sharpen one’s critical thinking, diplomacy, public speaking, policy making, conflict resolution abilities, and more through its 7 distinguished committees.
1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
Agenda:
- Accountability and Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Major Sporting
- Events with Special emphasis on FIFA World Cup Qatar, 2022
2. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
Agenda: Cop 28: To deliberate and mandate the Loss and Damage Agreement and JET Partnership
3. Flagship Committee- G20
Agenda: One Earth · One Family · One Future” closely ties with LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment)
4. United Nations General Assembly First Committee (DISEC)
Agendas: Reconciling Use of semi-autonomous military hardware for International Security with International Law
5. All India Stakeholders Meet (AISM)
Agendas:
- Deliberating the unaccountability of the powers of the Judiciary
- Discussing Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill 2022
6. School Committee- United Nations General Assembly (Plenary)
Agenda: Restructuring and Deliberating the Permanent Membership of the UNSC to further strengthen the organization

Who is it for/Eligibility
The unique instance about SLSPMUN’23 is that any college or school student, be it from India or anywhere in the world, is eligible to take part in the conference.

Fee Details
The Delegate fee is INR 1,500/- only. Participants may make the payment through GooglePay/PayTM using the Bank Transfer feature. Payments can also be made through NEFT/RTGS.

SLSPMUN is reputed for giving generous cash prizes to encourage and reward the hardworking delegates who have managed to make their mark over the course of the conference. This year is no different. The cash prizes for the SLSPMUN’23 are as under:
