Prof. Dr. V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor, HNLU in his Opening Remarks said that "Swami Vivekananda introduced a new ethical thought process where cultivating the virtues one has for they will be bearing the roots bearing the sweet fruits in due season. More than legal it is the ethical quotient which is crucial in contemporary times"

Swami Dr. Atmapriyananda, began his discussion by pondering upon the notion of religion as envisaged by Swami Vivekanandaji and emphasized upon the power of an individual to be an infinite self in themselves. For this he encouraged individuals to realize their inner strength both physical and most importantly he focused on the power of intellectual thoughts which is often articulated in one’s speech. Ethics therefore according to him is not a set of do’s and don’ts but rather a balance between one’s thoughts and speech. Hence, he opined that ‘Vedantic Self is in one’s heart and in one’s self…and hence we should Worship all beings as manifestations of God.’

The concluding remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Uday Shankar, Registrar, HNLU.

The Webinar was hosted as a part of the annual memorial lecture series which was instituted in 2022.
