Promotions span corporate, disputes and finance practices.

India, April 1, 2026: JSA Advocates and Solicitors has elevated 20 lawyers to its retained partner category as part of its annual promotions cycle, taking its total partner count to 183, including 66 equity partners. Seven of the newly elevated partners are women. The firm said the move aligns with its ongoing focus on diversity, with women accounting for nearly half of its legal workforce.

Over 110 lawyers promoted in 2026 cycle

The retained partner elevations are part of a broader round of more than 110 promotions across levels at the firm this year. The development follows a recent expansion of JSA’s equity partnership. The newly appointed retained partners are drawn from the firm’s three core practice areas of corporate, disputes and finance, which together cover 20 sector-focused teams and over 30 service lines.

Focus on Internal Talent and Specialisation

Joint Managing Partners Vivek Chandy and Amar Gupta said the promotions reflect the firm’s internal talent development approach and focus on specialised advisory capabilities. They added that the new partners have experience across transactions, regulatory matters and disputes, and are expected to take on expanded responsibilities within their respective practices.
