Prayagraj, 29 December 2025 — Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj marked a significant milestone in its academic journey by delivering an exceptional performance at Tarkshetra, the prestigious national inter-university conclave hosted by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) from 25 to 28 December 2025. Competing against some of the finest institutions in the country, RPNLU secured top honours in multiple categories, bringing national recognition and pride to the University.
Tarkshetra brought together nearly 450 delegates from leading universities and academic institutions across India, providing a dynamic platform for debate, dialogue, and deliberation on contemporary national and global issues. The conclave was marked by rigorous academic engagement and intense competition. Amidst this challenging environment, students of RPNLU Prayagraj distinguished themselves through exceptional analytical depth, persuasive articulation, and disciplined preparation, earning widespread appreciation from adjudicators and fellow participants.
Representing the University with distinction, Ms. Anushka Singh was conferred the Best Delegate Award in the United Nations General Assembly – DISEC Committee. Her performance reflected clarity of thought, meticulous research, and a strong command over issues related to international security and disarmament. Demonstrating a nuanced understanding of diplomacy and global governance, she emerged as one of the most outstanding delegates at the conclave.
Adding further to the University’s success, Mr. Ayush Trigun secured the prestigious title of Vivek Samrat in the Dharmkshetra Committee. His performance was marked by intellectual sharpness, ethical reasoning, and persuasive discourse deeply rooted in Indian philosophical traditions. The achievement showcased his ability to seamlessly integrate classical wisdom with contemporary legal reasoning, earning high appreciation from both peers and adjudicators.
The remarkable achievements of the students were made possible through strong academic leadership and sustained mentorship at RPNLU Prayagraj. The efforts were guided by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, along with continuous mentoring under Dr. Neha Dubey, Faculty Convener of the Debate and Discussion Club, RPNLU. The Club’s focus on research-driven training, critical engagement with diverse perspectives, and disciplined practice has played a pivotal role in preparing students for national-level platforms.
The success at Tarkshetra not only highlights individual excellence but also underscores RPNLU Prayagraj’s steady emergence as a centre of intellectual vibrancy and academic competitiveness. By consistently encouraging student participation in debates, moot courts, conferences, and policy-oriented discussions, the University continues to nurture a culture of fearless inquiry, informed dialogue, and holistic legal education.
