NATIONAL FORENSIC SCIENCES UNIVERSITY The National Forensic Sciences University (erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University) is the world’s first and only University dedicated to Forensic and allied Sciences. It was established with the objective to facilitate and promote studies and research and to achieve excellence in the field of forensic science in conjunction with applied behavioural science studies. Considering the role, importance and contribution of erstwhile GFSU, the GOI elevated GFSU as NFSU under the Ministry of Home Affairs and also accorded a special status of “An Institution of National Importance” with effect from October 1, 2020.

The School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies was established with the aim of imparting professional education with a special focus on forensic application in all allied areas of law and policy framework. The School aspires to be the leading provider of forensic justice understanding to all professionals from different areas of governance including justice administration. The school offers the multifaceted needs of the legal community. These include B.Sc.; LL.B.(Hons.), PG Diploma in Cyber Law, LL.B. (Hons.), LL. M. (Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration), and LL. M. (Cyber Law and Cyber Crime Investigation). These offerings symbolize our dedication to enriching the field with intellectually stimulating and practically applicable solutions.

About Indian Council Of Social Science Research

The ICSSR was established in the year of 1969 by the Government of India to promote research in social sciences in the country. ICSSR provide grants for projects, fellowships, international collaboration, capacity building, survey, publications etc. to promote research in social sciences in India. Currently, ICSSR supports a network of 29 research institutes, of which 24 are directly funded by ICSSR and 5 are recognized by ICSSR.
