Arham Law College, Arham Foundation is organising a National Conference on Criminal Law Reforms in India scheduled to be held on 16th Dec 2023 at Mahavir Auditorium, Salisbury Park, Pune.

About the Conference

Conference on Criminal Law Reforms in India” is a conference related to the criminal law reforms expected to be incorporated in the draft Criminal Bills tabled in the last Parliamentary session. It is expected that the conference outcomes and recommendations will provide insightful directions for framing effective policies, plans, and strategies in the criminal law field.

Abstract Submission

The author (s)/researcher (s) must submit the abstract by the stipulated date. Based on the abstract, the author(s)/researcher(s) will be informed about the selection and asked to submit the full paper.

The Abstract should include:

  • Title of the Abstract and Theme,
  • Name,
  • Designation,
  • Institution of Author(s)/Researcher(s),
  • Email and
  • Contact number

Target Audience

The conference shall be a one-day event graced by prominent jurists, lawyers & academicians having vast knowledge in the field of ‘Criminal Law’. The Conference shall witness students, scholars, experts, and academicians from India to present papers on the prevailing contemporary issues in the field of Criminal Law.

Call For Papers

We invite papers for presentation from students, experts, lawyers, and academicians from India. The paper should be original and contemporary. It should focus on the given theme of the Conference. However, any topic which does not fall within the given themes may be accepted at the discretion of the Panel of Experts. Every abstract and paper will be reviewed before the final selection for presentation.

Full Paper Submission

The selected author(s)/researcher(s) must submit the full paper by the stipulated date. The paper should have a cover page that will include the title of the paper/theme. The Final Paper word limit shall be not less than 2,000 words and not more than 5,000 words. It must be typewritten in Times New Roman, with 12 Points for text and 14 Points for headings, Line Spacing 1.5, and justified alignment. All footnotes shall be in Times New Roman, 10 Points, Line Spacing 1, and justified alignment. The following details should also be included - Name, Designation, Institution of Author(s) /Researcher(s), Email, and contact number. All full papers are to be submitted at arhamlawcollege@arhamedu.in

Review Of Abstract/Full Papers

Submissions shall be reviewed by a distinguished panel of impartial judges and academicians. Submissions will be judged anonymously. The submissions must be original and unpublished works of the authors. They should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Plagiarism of any nature will attract immediate disqualification. The contributions presented to and accepted for publication and the copyrights therein shall be the intellectual property of the Arham Foundation and Arham Law College, Pune. The organizers reserve the right to reject entries that do not conform to the aforesaid rules.

The broad theme includes the criminal reforms introduced by the draft criminal bills tabled in the last parliament session as listed below:

  • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
  • Bharatiya Nagarik Surksha Sanhita, 2023
  • Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023

Publication

Selected Quality Papers will be published in a UGC-approved Journal. All authors who get selected to participate in the conference shall be awarded certificates.
