On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Centre for Environmental Law, Policy and Research (CELPR), National Law University, Delhi is organising an online programme titled "Plastic Waste Management: Issues and Challenges".

About the University

With the primary objective to evolve and impart comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education that is socially relevant. University has made a name for itself in terms of quality legal research. It has several important Research projects to its credit such as the Death Penalty project, the project on the impact and implementation of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2000, the UNDP Project on Access to Justice for Marginalized Peoples etc

About the programme

Due to the underlying complexities in dealing with the issue of plastic waste, it is important to engage with all the relevant stakeholders so as to have a holistic understanding of key issues pertaining to plastic waste management. The programme will involve an eminent panel of speakers (including an academician, a representative of plastic industries, an NGO and a former CPCB official) reflecting diverse interests in the subject matter
