Moot Court Association of School of Legal Studies REVA University is extending the last date of registration for the 3rd REVA National Moot Court Competition 2023 from the 12th of January to the 19th of January 2023.

About the Event

The Three-Day National Moot Court Competition aims at inspiring, promoting, and inculcating in law students drafting and writing techniques, engaging in legal oration, high focus research acumen, and also subjecting them to the judicial trends in various fields of litigation in India and abroad. The competition will be based on the theme “Criminal Law” and we hereby extend our invitation to all Law Schools in India to be active participants in this National level event to be held from 9th to 11th March 2023 by registering their teams.

About School of Legal Studies

The School of Legal Studies offers graduate and postgraduate programmes with the objective of preparing law professionals with a sound understanding of the foundations of legal knowledge. The school offers BA, LL. B (Hons.), BBA, LL. B (Hons.) of five-year duration and one-year LLM in Business & Corporate Law and in Criminal Law. The school also undertakes various consultancy projects. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including Moot Court Hall, Legal Aid Clinic, and Library, with a variety of prints and online resources. The school focuses on advancement and dissemination of knowledge of law and legal processes in the context of national development. The school, in addition to its well-experienced and qualified law faculty members, invites regularly practicing advocates and legal luminaries as adjunct faculty and guest faculty members to facilitate practical exposure to the students.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all bona fide regular students enrolled in any undergraduate law course or its equivalent in any University or Institute within India recognized by the Bar Council, or State Government, or Central Government, as the case may be. Each college/ institution/university may send a maximum of 2 teams.

Commencement of Registration and fee payment: 16th December 2022

Last date for Registration and fee payment: 19th January 2023

Registration Confirmation: 23rd January 2023

Last date for Clarifications: 18th January 2023

Last date for submission of memorials (soft copies): 14th February 2023 (11:59 P.M.)

Last date for receiving memorials (hard copy): 21st February 2023

Inauguration and Draw of Lots: 9th March 2023

Researcher’s Test: 9th March 2023

Preliminary and Quarter Final rounds: 10th March 2023

Semi-Finals, Finals, and Valedictory: 11th March 2023

Registration Procedure

The teams interested in participating are required to complete the registration formalities by filling up the Google forms by 12th January 2023 (11:59 P.M.) A scanned copy of the Institution’s Student Identity card should be uploaded while filling up the registration form.

The registration shall be deemed complete only when the registration fee has been remitted successfully, and the registration form is duly filled.

Team Composition

1. Each team shall include two (2) speakers, who shall be accompanied by one (1) researcher, all of whom shall be designated accordingly.

2. Once registration is completed, the team composition must remain the same throughout the competition
