Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, commemorated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic zeal, and reverence for constitutional values at its university campus in Madhya Pradesh.

National Flag Unfurled by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha

The Republic Day celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, followed by the solemn rendition of the National Anthem, marking the beginning of the ceremonial proceedings.

Role of Law Students as Custodians of Justice

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha emphasized the crucial responsibility of young law students as future custodians of justice and constitutional governance in India. He underscored the need for a profound understanding of the Indian Constitution and highlighted the role of National Law Universities in shaping not only professional careers but also instilling constitutional morality, ethics, and democratic values among students.

Reflects on Historical Significance of Republic Day

On the occasion, Registrar Dr. Praveen Tripathi extended his warm Republic Day greetings to the university fraternity. He spoke about the historical importance of Republic Day and highlighted a significant fact that the first-ever flag hoisting at a government building in India took place in Jabalpur, adding a special historical connection to the celebrations.

Patriotic Cultural Performances Add Colour to the Celebration

The programme featured a mesmerising cultural performance by Ms. Supriya Tiwari, who enthralled the audience with soulful patriotic songs that resonated deeply with the spirit of the Republic. The event was smoothly coordinated by Ms. Supriya Tiwari along with Mr. Shreyash Jain, ensuring seamless execution of the programme.

Distinguished Dignitaries Grace the Occasion

The Republic Day celebration at DNLU Jabalpur was graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries, including Shri S. N. Khare, Retired Civil Judge, and Smt. Sarita Rawat, Finance Controller. Faculty members, administrative staff, and students actively participated in the event, contributing to an atmosphere of unity, pride, and national solidarity.
