4. Delhi Airport emerges as the Best Airport in ACIASQ Award

11. Debasish Panda has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI)

On 11th March 2022, Former Department of Financial Services (DFS) Secretary Debasish Panda, a retired IAS officer, was appointed Chairperson of the IRDAI, the insurance regulator, by the Cabinet Appointments Committee.

12. A floating solar project at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu has been set up by leading fertilizer manufacturer Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd (SPIC)

14. Strengthening of Pharmaceutical Industry (SPI) scheme guidelines

On 11th March 2022, The guidelines for the scheme "Strengthening of Pharmaceutical Industry (SPI)" were published by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals, and Fertilizers. The scheme aims to support the Pharmaceutical clusters and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in improving their productivity, quality, and sustainability.

On 14th March 2022, World No 1 Pramod Bhagat won two silver and bronze medals at the recently concluded Iberdrola Spanish Para-Badminton International 2022. World No 2 Sukant Kadam also ended up with a bronze.

18. Tata Group appoints N. Chandrasekaran as the Chairman of Air India

26. Devendra Jhajharia becomes the first para-athlete to receive Padma Bhushan

On 21st March 2022, Devendra Jhajharia became the first para-athlete to receive the Padma Bhushan, the country's third-highest civilian award. He has won many Paralympic medals, including his first gold at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens.

27. Avani Lekhara, a para-shooter, was awarded the Padma Shri

28. Padma Awards for 2022 conferred by President Ram Nath Kovind

43. Lok Sabha passes Scheduled Tribes Constitutional Amendment Bill 2022

On 28th March 2022, The Lok Sabha passed the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill which seeks to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 for the inclusion of certain communities in the list of Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State of Tripura. The Bill proposes the "Darlong" community as a sub-tribe of "Kuki" in the list of Scheduled Tribes.
