University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh has organised the 6th Edition of its Annual Law Fest i.e. “Arguendo” to be held from 21st – 23rd February 2020.

Arguendo comprises of two different competitions, first being the 6th All India Gurcharan Singh Tulsi Criminal Law Annual Moot Court Competition, 2020 and the 9th UILS National Client Counseling Competition, 2020. This event commenced in the year 2015 and has maintained the erudite nature of its Institution. The event is being hosted every year with the utmost zest and enthusiasm.

This year as well the institute organised it successfully and it wouldn’t have been possible without the Cooperation of our Education Partner, Legal Bites.

A total of 24 teams from across the country fly in to participate in this three-day competition to sharpen their advocacy skills and show off their eristic qualities. The competition is divided into preliminary rounds, quarter-finals, semi-final and then final rounds.

The final rounds were adjudged by Justice Pramjeet Singh Dhaliwal (President Punjab State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission) Justice SS Saron (Retd. HC Judge), Justice AN Jindal (Retd. HC Judge), Justice Raj Shekhar Attri (President Chandigarh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission).

The two top-scoring teams to qualify to the finals of the prestigious moot were,

SVKM, Mumbai and Christ Law College, Bangalore.

SVKM, Mumbai emerged victorious in 6th All India Gurucharan Singh Tulsi Annual Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, 2020 and also bagged the cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-
