Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority has been constituted under the State Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The object is to provide ‘access to justice for all’ so that justice is not denied to citizens by reason of economic or other disabilities.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Attach your Application, CV, Copy of college I Card and Letter of Recommendation. Your application must contain every detail mentioned clearly with tentative dates for the internship as per your availability. One can submit the application by hand or via email to Law Officer of the authority.

ACCOMMODATION

No problem at all, there are enough PGs, Hotels and guest houses providing accommodation at reasonable price.

FIRST IMPRESSION

Only first few hours were spent in formalities and orientation program. Later, interns were divided into teams and assigned some collective work.

MAIN TASK

Observing the proceedings of State Legal Services Authority, Permanent Lok Adalat of Public Utility Services, Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Juvenile Home, Old Age Home, various Legal aid clinics of Chhattisgarh etc

WORK ENVIRONMENT

COMFORTABLE, as Law officer and other staff members are very cooperative, help us a lot.

BEST THINGS

More focus on practical learning about the provisions of Legal Services Act, 1987 rather than theoretical.

BAD THINGS

Nothing to do after lunch except 1 or 2 days.
