The School of Law, Lovely Professional University (LPU) is proud to announce the first edition of BALDEV RAJ MITTAL NATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2018. The competition seeks to promote the interest among the law students in the most debatable areas in Constitutional Law and Criminal Law.
We invite all the esteemed Law Schools to participate in this venerated Moot Court Competition.
Aim & Purpose
1st BALDEV RAJ MITTAL NATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2018 has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning the development of jurisprudence on emerging conflicts in Criminal Law and Fundamental Rights besides developing cutting-edge skills in research, writing and advocacy. It is based upon the Constitutional Law and Criminal Law.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
Registration
Provisional registrations are open from 18th January 2018. The teams must register provisionally by 31 January 2018.
Registration form and travel form are attached to the brochure.

Teams will have to register by sending an email to solmootcourt@lpu.co.in
The registration fees of Rs. 2500/- to be paid in the form of Demand Draft in the favor of Lovely Professional University payable at Jalandhar
Awards
1. Winner – Rs. 25,000/- and Trophy
2. Runner-up – Rs.10,000/- and Trophy
3. Best Memorial – Rs.5,000/- and Trophy
4. Best Student Advocate – Rs.5,000/- and Trophy
All participants will be issued participation certificates.
Deadlines
- Start of Online Registration: 18th January 2018
- Last date for Provisional Registration (soft copy): 10th February
- Last date for Final Registration along with receiving hard copies of Reg. Form and travel form: 22nd February
- Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy by email): 12th March
- Submission of Memorials ( Hard Copies): 17th March
- Moot Court Competition: 29th, 30th, and 31st March

The Baldev Raj Mittal National Moot Court Competition 2018, will be conducted from 29th to 31st March at School of Law, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-Delhi G.T. Road, Phagwara, Punjab (India) – 144411.
