About the Webinar: International Legal Studies
The webinar on “Studying LLM in the Netherlands” will be focusing on legal studies abroad. It will be an interactive webinar where the audience will gain insight into the functioning of the legal field along with the success stories of the speaker.
The Speaker will be throwing light on how to get admission into premier educational institutions for LLM (Masters). This will include the application process along with the Recommendations and Statement of Purpose. Speaker will share the experience of studying at Leiden University, the Netherlands and the life there as a student along with the prospective benefits and advantages one gains from graduating from such an institution of excellence. She will also discuss the prospects of working in International Organisations such as the UN.
About the Speaker
Ms Madeeha Majid is a public international law professional and a cum laude graduate of the Advanced Masters (LL.M.) in Public International law programme (2019-20) from Leiden University (specialisation in Peace, Justice, and Development). Prior to this, she completed a 5 years integrated law degree (B.A. LL.B. Economics Majors) with a distinction from the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, India, specialising in Constitutional law.
Madeeha’s work focuses on the prosecution of international crimes, international humanitarian law, conflict, peace, and security, gender rights, and human rights law. Madeeha is also involved with advocacy on refugee policies and practices within the EU.
Madeeha plans to work as a human rights advocate and an international law professional contributing towards a better world.
