Delhi Metropolitan Education is an educational institute, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), a State University based in India.

About Meraki: Society for Mental Health

Meraki: Society for Mental Health at DME aims to initiate change and sensitize students about mental health and focus on the art of empathizing. It endeavours to establish a community garden for students and provide guidance and psycho-emotional support. Mental health encompasses overall well-being and impacts our lives in many ways. It is an initiative to equip the students to meet the multiple challenges and expectations beyond academics.

We believe in working for the ideals of mental health from a grass root level by ensuring an all-inclusive and holistic approach. This summit aims to analyze the absence of psychological intervention and will be a first-hand experience for the participants to be part of such an interactive session.

About the Event

They are organizing a National Level Policy Drafting Competition ( virtual mode) on the theme Importance of Psycho-Social and Legal Framework in the Child Care Protection Policy on 10th -11th October 2021.

The idea is to draft effective policies for change in the current regime around mental and emotional health. Mental well-being has been adversely affected as a result of the global pandemic and this second wave, which has not only instilled fear in the minds of the general public but has also changed the statistics of mental health crises for the worse.

This initiative aims at giving a creative as well as legal acceleration to policymaking by young academic scholars and professionals. All the policy presentations will be evaluated by the prestigious Think Tank organizations and the strongest policy/policies will be given the opportunity to be published on their website and columns.

Who can Participate?

1. Any bona fide Undergraduate/Postgraduate student of recognized Colleges/Institutions/ Universities or
2. Research Scholars, within or outside the territory of India, from all disciplines mainly from the field of Law, Psychology or Humanities/ Management, or any other field
