About National Service Scheme Society of VIPS

NSS is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands-on experience to young students in delivering community service. The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU. Inculcating the idea of selfless service at VIPS (Self-Financing Unit) is a culture which helps the youth to build a strong character; prepare them for life’s struggle generate empathy for others build society and nation become better human beings and ultimately achieve happiness.

About Gender Champions Club

In order to promote gender equality, guaranteed by Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, we need to change the mode of interaction at all levels – home, school, and workplace and so on. To increase the outreach for creating an environment that fosters equal treatment, Government of India envisages engagement of Gender Champions in all schools and colleges across the country. Gender Champions can be any student above 16 years of age enrolled in educational institutions. It is a joint initiative of the Ministry of women and Child Development and the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
