MNLU Mumbai is organizing the comprehensive and compact one-week online certificate course under the aegis of DPIIT IPR Chair and Centre for Research in IP.

About the Course

Indian Patent System has undergone sea changes after India joined the TRIPS Agreement and, consequently, amended the Patents Act in 2005 to become a global partner in the international patent regime. Through subsequent amendments to Patent Rules, important court decisions and introduction of computerized work-flow, more clarity and procedural simplicity has been brought to the patent procedures.

All stakeholders engaged in patent-related activities need to have updated knowledge on the latest legal and practical aspects of the patenting system and technical reforms introduced in the patenting procedure since this will help them to remain competitive at the domestic and global level in the present knowledge-based economic and industrial environment. Most patent awareness and training programmes are conducted in the country with short duration i.e. 1-2 days; covering general topics only and, thus, have limitations. On the other hand, patent courses of very long duration may not be convenient, practical and affordable for many willing persons.

In view of the above, MNLU Mumbai is organizing the comprehensive and compact one-week online certificate course under the aegis of DPIIT IPR Chair and Centre for Research in IP. The course is meticulously designed to be able to impart detail legal and practical knowledge on all aspects of Indian Patenting System, recent technical developments and process re-engineering in patenting that have taken place over the years.

The present course is bound to benefit all participants by enriching their knowledge, skill and expertise in patenting system and thus, help in their profession and studies. Faculties for the present course include senior officials of Indian Intellectual Property Office and reputed IPR professionals who are known for their knowledge and expertise.

The course will be taught by top industry experts. A certificate will be provided to all the participants.
