Centre for Law and Sciences, HNLU, Raipur under the aegis of the School of Law & Technology is conducting A National Level Online Essay Writing Competition on “Is Law the Ultimate Science?”.

About the Centre

The Centre for Law and Sciences at HNLU, Raipur was established, in the year 2023, with an objective to develop research, teaching and advocacy in Law and its interface with science advances, innovation and technology. The Centre also aims to focus on the promotion of interdisciplinary research and analysis of legal, ethical, and policy implications of new scientific developments and emerging technologies. The Center seeks to provide a platform for research relating to scientific advancements and its impact on society at large through advocacy inputs.

Eligibility

  • Bonafide students in an Indian University enrolled in any UG/ PG course.
  • Co-authorship of essays is strictly prohibited.

The themes of the Essay Competition are as follows:

  • Law and Forensic Science
  • Law and Food Science
  • Law, Science and Environmental Conservation
  • Law and Biosciences
  • Law and Nuclear Science
  • Legal Objectivity and Scientific Evidence
  • Law and Politics of Science

Registration

Prizes

The Centre is offering exciting prizes for the participants judged as winners.

  • First Position: Certificate of Merit and Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000.
  • Second Position: Certificate of Merit and Cash Prize of Rs. 7500.
  • Third Position: Certificate of Merit and Cash Prize of Rs. 5000.
  • The top 15 participants will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.
  • The Center may consider publication of Selected Essays in an Edited Book with ISBN number

Important Dates

  • Registration & Submission Deadline: 20th October 2023.
  • Declaration of Results: 20th November 2023.
